Spring 2023—When Justice Breaks Down: Sacrificing For A Dead Republic

The Treatment Of Donald Trump Is Clearest Proof That The American Republic Is Dead

For the last few years, things have happened in our national political narrative that have prompted me to share thoughts with all of you here on my blog. Usually, these thoughts have been about the corrupt and bold-faced evil that is manifest month by month by the Joe Biden regime, about the political gangsterism committed by the Democratic Party, about the social destruction wrought by leftism in America.

Sometimes, as I am writing out my posts, I delete them because I ultimately end up thinking: "eh...what's the point?"

But today isn't one of those days.

Here is my reaction to the indictment earlier this year of former U.S. president and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump by a politically-motivated Democratic New York district attorney who goes out of his way to ignore burglaries and robberies in his own city:

Almost everything that has happened in the political narrative of the United States since early March of 2020 is proof that the American republic is dead. We Americans do not live in a just society. There is indeed a system at work in America, but it is a joke to think of it as a justice system.

In America, if you are a conservative Christian, the leftists say that you shouldn't be allowed to protect yourself with firearms. BUT...if you are a transgender intent on murdering schoolchildren in pursuit of your own twisted ideology, the leftists who increasingly control our society celebrate your firearm ownership and training, your so-called "Day of Vengeance."

In America, if you are doubtful of COVID vaccines and mask mandates, or if you sense that the 2020 presidential election was corrupt or illegitimate, it is criminal and indeed traitorous for you to protest, to peacefully make your voice heard, or to dress up in a buffalo outfit and receive police-guided tours of the U.S. Capitol. BUT...if you belong to Black Lives Matter or seek to ban firearms in defiance of the Bill of Rights, and you storm statehouses and burn police precincts and private businesses all over the country, the leftists who increasingly control our society excuse and enable your "mostly peaceful" acts of protest.

And in America, if your name is Donald Trump, and you are running for president as a Republican...well, everything you've ever done, everything you've ever said, and anything you've ever thought is worthy of criminal investigations and prosecutions that last for many years, even if it means that the Hillary Clintons and the Hunter Bidens on the Democratic side of the political divide get to go on with their lives of corruption perpetually unpunished.

I know I sound like a radical, but I don't care anymore. The "fundamental transformation" of the United States initiated by the election of Barack Obama in 2008 has almost completely run its course. We Americans no longer live in a republic of law. We live in a frighteningly unstable leftist oligarchy that is presided over by a pathetic band of peddlers.

And what do Democratic politicians like Joe Biden peddle in? Lies. And the biggest lie of all is that a society like ours in its current condition can last. It can't. It can't, and it won't. We are living in a dead republic, a dying leftist oligarchy that is sadly resembling Venezuela more and more each passing day.

What should we do to survive this? Well, as my mother said so simply earlier this year after hearing about the Trump indictment, we all need to turn to God.

I can go along with that. But specifically, I would like to say this to my fellow conservatives, to my fellow Republicans: in the days ahead, we need to work extra-hard to remain vigilant and to keep our own personal record of the evil we see swirling around us. At the same time, we need to resist more than ever the desire to lash out and commit the acts of violence that I KNOW the left wants to provoke out of us.

And last of all...and this might be the hardest thing of all...conservatives and Republicans need to vigorously stand up for and defend Donald Trump's rights as an American citizen, but even more especially as an opposition candidate in the presidential race. And yes, we need to do that while STILL hoping and praying that Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has the wisdom and yes, divine guidance, to navigate this treacherous political climate to a resounding electoral victory in 2024 that ALSO reverses the savage divisions that despicable American leftists have been taking advantage of for the last 15 years.

Is everything I mentioned in the last couple of paragraphs a tall order? Yep. Almost impossibly so. But it just reflects how hard we all have to work to dig our country out of the deep, dark hole that it currently finds itself in.

New York City Leads The Way In The Breakdown Of Justice

Regarding what's happened to Donald Trump this spring, Senator Ted Cruz has said that "the arrest and arraignment of former President Donald Trump by a left-wing Soros prosecutor is a mockery of the rule of law. Not only is the indictment frivolous, this political persecution marks a dark day for our country."

With all due respect to the many Republicans and conservatives out there who think the unjustified persecution and prosecution of Donald Trump is going to help Trump and/or the Republicans in the long run, I just don't see it that way.

My faith in our systems and institutions is way, way too low right now. Listening to the coverage of what's happening with the false system of justice in New York nowadays is making me sick with disgust. It is all a gigantic mockery of justice, and I don't think Trump is going to be able to turn this to his ultimate advantage.

I REALLY want to be wrong about this.

DeSantis Declares For The Presidency

If Donald Trump is the Republican candidate for president in 2024, I will vote for him without hesitation if it means halting the Biden regime's assault on everything good about our country.

I'll go a step further and say something here on this blog that I've only said to some people in private: I would happily take a bullet for Trump, so grateful to him as I am for upsetting the political status quo and breaking, even for just a short time, the shackles of liberal and left-wing lies that I've had to deal with for my entire life.

But...no matter how much I feel personally loyal and indebted to Trump...I maintain today what I said last November: in the Republican primaries, I will be a DeSantis man through and through.

I urge my fellow Republicans and my fellow Americans to join me in supporting Ron DeSantis in his run for the presidency. He is a proven leader who actually maintains and defends conservative values while at the same time attracting independents and Democrats into a real political movement defined by dynamism and electoral and legislative victories of historic consequence. Of the declared presidential candidates, he is, put simply, the best candidate for the job.

I hear a lot of Americans complaining about the viciousness of primary politics, but I would like to tell those Americans that in the politics of our country, NOTHING matters if your side, if your party, doesn't win elections. In my viewpoint, nothing about the 2024 election matters if the Biden regime gets four more years of life to itself. We must ensure that a Republican president is inaugurated in 2025, and to get that result, we must allow for the viciousness of primary politics to weed out the lesser candidates in favor of whoever will lead us to victory while still carrying the principles of truth and right along with them into the White House. I believe Ron DeSantis is better situated to deliver this than Donald Trump is, and I invite others to follow me in my enthusiasm for the DeSantis campaign. It's very simple: I think the American Left WANTS to run against Donald Trump in 2024, and I think they are terrified at the thought of running against Ron DeSantis fresh off of his crushing electoral victories of last year.

I say let's give the Left exactly what it doesn't want. It always seems to be the best policy for America.

Making America Worth Sacrificing For Again

I don't always post things especially for holidays, but for some reason, I felt really strongly about posting this as we headed into Memorial Day weekend.

When I think about the multiple generations of people who have given their lives in service to our country, I find myself thinking about the people who are serving now and, in the future, may end up giving up the very same thing for our country. And this year, I find myself seriously wondering more and more: is the United States of America the kind of country that is WORTH sacrificing one's life for? These days, I find myself doubting the answer to that question more and more often.

This Memorial Day, I thought that as we paid tribute to the fallen, we should spend some serious time reflecting upon what we can do to ensure that their sacrifices have not been in vain. We need to reflect upon what we can do to ensure that this country of ours remains the virtuous land of the free and home of the brave it was always meant to be.
