Fall 2022—DeSantis Amidst Electoral Disappointment, Biden Regime Tyranny, And The Monster Of Radical Leftism
Making Room For Financial Responsibility
In April of this year, the U.S. government's Bureau of Economic Analysis announced that the overall personal savings rate for the average American had fallen to 4.4 percent. At the time, that was the lowest personal savings rate on record since September of 2008. Because of rising inflationary prices, the American people are contributing less to their savings accounts, and there are signs that this is a trend that will unfortunately continue well into 2023. Thus far, it seems that Millennials are struggling the most with continuing to save money, a pretty frustrating thing to consider when you worry about what such trends mean for the long-term future of society.
I also think it's a big problem that some economic reporting is pointing out that a lot of the savings that young people DO have available to them are leftovers from COVID-related government benefits...a savings source that many of us conservatives have been warning cannot and will not remain sustainable.
I was raised by parents who taught me 3 important rules about personal/household economics:
1. Avoid going into debt at all costs.
2. Avoid at all costs situations that require you to rely on government assistance.
3. Whenever possible, save money for unforeseen emergencies in the future.
I am so grateful my parents taught me these principles. I am being blessed in my life RIGHT NOW because I have stood firm in following these principles throughout my adulthood. I've never gone into debt for anything, I've never relied on government assistance (though I've come very, very close), and for the last 3 or 4 years, I have followed some advice from a family friend, Keith Mills, to put 10 percent of my earnings into savings every time I get a paycheck. I have seen great blessings come because of my rigorous adherence to this program of personal financial care and caution.
I've also seen the strain in the lives of others who somehow see these sound financial principles as unnecessary or simply unrealistic. I've met people who openly intend to go through life without ever paying off their debts, irresponsibly spending themselves and their families into oblivion. I've met people who not only are happy to accept government assistance, but also wear it as a badge of honor! And I've met people who look at me in wonder and amazement, who say I'm superhuman or rich, when they find out about my 10% personal savings goal; these people seem incredulous that someone would shoot for such a lofty savings target.
I wish I could help people understand that their income level and net worth are not the sole inherent determinants of financial peace of mind in their lives. Poor people can have that peace of mind too! I feel like my own life is evidence of that.
We recently celebrated Independence Day, a holiday that commemorates our freedom. I feel strongly that debt is a form of enslavement. I believe deficit spending can become a dangerous addiction for an individual, a family, and even an entire country. Financial irresponsibility is easy to do, and our current economic troubles are directly influenced by a federal government that encourages all sorts of reckless behaviors and stupid decision-making. For now, the Democrats are the party in power...and their political leaders are panicking about the inflation in our economy and the Biden government's seeming inability or unwillingness to do anything to change the course our country is on. Democratic panic is a fascinating thing to see, especially if you agree with me that the Democrats themselves, with the policies they've been pushing, have been digging their own graves.
According to some sources I've been checking out, some Democratic representatives realized that they couldn't run for reelection this November on the premise that all our country's current economic woes could be blamed on "corporate greed" and Putin's war in Ukraine. In their heart of hearts, some Democrats have to know by now that the 1970s demonstrated that inflation can take years to overcome. Democrats have to know that Joe Biden and his advisors don't have a plan for combating inflation; if they did, they'd be mentioning it in those embarrassingly empty-headed White House press briefings. The Democrats know that their leaders don't have the willingness to do what is necessary to solve our energy price problems, the shortages in our oil and gas refinery capacity, or our self-imposed supply chain crises. The only plan I ever hear about from the Biden team involves some rather vague references to "infrastructure" spending. But what good is massive infrastructure spending going to do when there is so much chaos in the labor markets? How will infrastructure spending help our problems with inflation?
I'd like to encourage anyone reading this to do whatever they can to declare independence from financial irresponsibility. Just because the Biden regime is dragging the country into the grave with it, we ourselves can become inoculated to some extent. We don't have to leap so willingly into the grave! Financial irresponsibility, in all its varied manifestations, puts you into some form of servitude. It leads to bad habits and circumstances in your personal life, and it indentures you to corruption and stagnation in your political life. It gives power to opportunistic and exploitative politicians who use your irresponsibility to subsidize their own at the taxpayers' expense. We face some tough times ahead, and it is my belief that, in large part, we have no one to blame but ourselves and, in many cases, the politicians and bureaucrats who have encouraged us in our collective financial irresponsibility. In facing those tough times, I know we can all do more to put our own houses in order!
Do whatever it takes to empower yourself through the upcoming storms of life. Change the way you spend! Change the way you save! Change the way you vote! Make room for financial responsibility in your life, and our entire society will change for the better in ways that will seem miraculous.
I am very glad that Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed in a U.S. drone strike earlier this year. His killing was an act of justice a long time in coming.
However, as we conclude the fall season and look back at a year ago when the Biden administration became responsible for the worst diplomatic debacle and military defeat in our country's history, I think some things about the context of the drone strike against al-Zawahiri should be pointed out.
Al-Zawahiri was Osama bin Laden's heir. He was the leader of al-Qaeda. And he was killed while living in a nice house in a ritzy neighborhood in Kabul, Afghanistan. This is a neighborhood that includes the homes of prominent Taliban leaders of the current government of Afghanistan.
In other words, the leader of al-Qaeda spent his final months in mortality living and hanging out with prominent Taliban rulers of Afghanistan.
Let us all remember that after assuring us that the American-allied government of Afghanistan would not collapse and that there would never be a tragic, embarrassing pullout of U.S. military forces from the country, Joe Biden ALSO assured us that Afghanistan would not become a base of operations for Islamist terrorism.
I'm predicting, here and now, that the presence of al-Qaeda's top leader in the Taliban's new capital city will be marked as a sign that yet another in a long, long line of Joe Biden's disgraceful blunders is in the process of blossoming forth with all its accompanying horrific implications for conflict and instability in our crumbling world order. What Joe Biden allowed to happen in Afghanistan a year ago was bad enough that I openly proclaimed that if he had any sense of respect for the position of chief executive, Joe Biden should've resigned from office. I still feel the same today.
The world becomes a far more dangerous place whenever America's enemies look at her leaders and sense inconsistency mixed with weakness. The war in Ukraine, the tensions over Taiwan, the rearming of Iran, and the resurgence of the Taliban's relationship with al-Qaeda...all of these discouraging developments have been made worse and will continue to be made worse as long as the Biden government and the Democratic Party are in charge of U.S. national security.
Please remember that the next time you vote.
Unprecedented Raid Against A Former President
I was only 10 years old when Bill and Hillary Clinton left the White House. And even though I was only a child back then, to this day I have VERY CLEAR MEMORIES of hearing news stories on the radio of many instances and cases of missing furniture and artwork, vandalism, and graffiti when the Bush people took office and discovered the disgraceful state that the outgoing Clinton people had left the building in. And these weren't rumors; they were confirmed facts that played out as contemporary news stories and, in some cases, as protracted legal battles, potential scandals, and public controversies that I kept hearing about from time to time in subsequent years.
I despise the Clintons, but to shock some of you, I would like to point out that the Clinton fiasco of leaving the White House is merely a more colorful example of a pattern that pops up in seemingly every modern presidential administration: it seems that every modern outgoing administration ends up engaging in some kind of legal dispute with the federal government involving presidential papers, classified documents, gifts from foreign statesmen, pieces of art, etc.
A former president battling in our legal system for the propriety (or impropriety) of what he did or didn't take from the White House upon leaving office is really nothing new.
But an FBI raid on Donald Trump's home as he likely prepares for another presidential run? Right around the same time of the January 6th show trials in Congress? All this after the outright and incessant LIES that this country had to put up with for over three years concerning the laughably false Russian collusion narrative? All this after not one but TWO deeply-flawed and/or inappropriate impeachment attempts?
I am fully prepared to be proven wrong, I really am. But as of this posting, I am a fullblown believer that the FBI raid against Donald Trump earlier this year was politically motivated and primarily designed to preemptively sling mud against a Joe Biden political opponent. If I am right, this should gravely concern all of us who care about the inappropriate weaponization of law enforcement agencies by one major political party against another.
I am very, VERY troubled that anyone in the Biden-controlled federal bureaucracy thought this was appropriate. If it was indeed necessary, we MUST be shown the proof. And when I say proof, I am utterly rejecting the kind of "proof" they've been trotting out at the January 6th committee hearings. Joe Biden and the agencies under his command have a lot to answer for now, a lot to spell out for those of us who are demanding some answers.
This particular American citizen has lost all but the thinnest shred, the poorest possible excuse for anything resembling patience for this administration.
Making California A Gun-Free Zone
At the beginning of this fall season, Democrat lawmakers in California tried to pass a law that would've rewritten state regulations on concealed carry licenses. The Democrats who wrote the bill seemed to be acting out against the U.S. Supreme Court's decision earlier this year to strike down New York's insistence that concealed carry permit holders are somehow supposed to prove that they have a "special need" to carry concealed firearms in the first place. Even though this proposed California law was opposed by the California State Sheriffs’ Association, the Democrats moved forward with it anyways. The law would've required a psychological assessment of all citizens applying for a concealed carry permit. These applicants would've also had to provide three reference letters attesting to their "moral fitness" for carrying a concealed firearm. Not that it would've mattered much anyways...because certain provisions in the bill left options open for California's individual counties to ban guns in bars, restaurants, medical facilities, parks, public gatherings, airport parking lots and most private businesses.
Amazingly, the law failed to pass in the California Assembly...and it failed by a single solitary vote. Every single Republican lawmaker voted against it, and they were joined by a small group of Democrats who chose to vote against their party's wishes. I'm guessing that some of the Democrats who crossed over on this vote were thinking about election backlash in November.
California already has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, rivaled only by Illinois and New York, as far as I can see. But that doesn't matter to Democrats who aren't actually interested in keeping Californians safe. True safety has rarely, if ever, been on the gun control lobby's agenda. Controlling and restricting Constitutional freedoms is what it's all about for them.
I am so tired of living in a state run by lawmakers who are so eager to defy the Supreme Court whenever that court moves to protect Constitutional liberties. I am tired of living in a state that seeks to restrict my gun ownership on the basis of "moral fitness"...this from the same group of people who are now openly boasting about making California a sanctuary for the state-subsidized mass murder of unborn children. I am tired of living in a state run by political leaders who work so hard to make California unlivable and unsafe for responsible and hardworking middle-class citizens, but do next to nothing to rid our streets and neighborhoods of drugs and the armies of increasingly irresponsible and unaccountable homeless.
And I know for a fact that many Californians agree with me...even those who live in the most liberal parts of the state. Over the last decade, the city of San Francisco only issued 11 concealed carry permits! But since the Supreme Court's ruling against New York earlier this year, San Francisco has received at least 40 applications for these permits. This tells me that even the left-leaning residents of the Bay Area are feeling unsafe in their own communities, and are reaching for firearms for their security.
As for Democratic lawmakers in this state, the fact that this law failed because a few Democrats switched sides to vote with the Republicans tells me that maybe...JUST MAYBE...some Democrat politicians are scared of overreaching in an election year. I've lost almost all faith in our elections (don't worry...I still plan on voting and I encourage ALL conservatives to continue voting against leftism's assault on our society in whatever form it takes), but I sure hope that the Democrats inside and outside this state are headed for a huge electoral disaster sometime in the near future. I have my doubts that this will actually materialize, but I can dream, can't I?
I don't think California Dreamin' was ever meant to be a stand-in term for wishing electoral disaster on Democrats, but that is indeed how I feel about things at this point. If California doesn't change course soon, we will be looking at a West Coast version of Soviet-style malaise and mismanagement by out-of-touch leftist politicians and bureaucrats who don't know the first thing about moral fitness. Californians need to understand how vital it is that we stop giving power to these people.
The Frankenstein's Monster Of Radical Leftism
One of the most iconic of the scary creatures in the American Halloween pantheon is the experiment-gone-wrong known as Frankenstein’s monster. At the heart of what always made Frankenstein’s monster so frightening as an antagonist in stories through the years is the fact that the monster itself was an act of irresponsible and morally misguided creation, an experiment by a possibly mad scientist who felt overwhelmingly confident in his ability to defy the laws of nature in pursuit of his vision of bringing life from lifelessness, flawed and even harmful though that vision turned out to be.
In the midterm elections this fall, there was a long list of reasons why American voters in every corner of the country should've voted against the Democratic Party. But as for me, I voted against the Democratic Party and all its candidates and policies with Frankenstein’s monster at the forefront of my mind.
For the past two years, the Democrats have been performing their flawed and harmful experiment upon our country, upon our communities, schools, and families. When the Democratic Party of Joe Biden took power back in 2021, the country fell into the hands of “radicals, socialists, and nihilists” who are obsessed with conducting a deadly experiment upon the American nation, according to a warning recently issued by Professor Victor Davis Hanson of Stanford University. In 2020, the country elected a bunch of mad scientists into power, and for the past two years, these mad scientists have been creating a Frankenstein’s monster of a debased and degraded society that is barely holding on to any sense of cohesion or order.
The Frankenstein’s monster of leftism on the loose has become so dangerous and so pervasive across all sectors of American society that even our richest and most powerful Democrat overlords cannot avoid being harmed by it. I want to be clear: I cannot and will not condone the recent violent attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband. But…can we please have a conversation about who actually attacked Nancy Pelosi’s husband? Can we please acknowledge that Nancy Pelosi’s husband was attacked by a criminal, by an illegal immigrant, by a hallucinogenic drug-addicted nudist who lives in a hippie bus festooned with gay pride flags and Black Lives Matter banners?
Can we please admit to ourselves that the family of our VERY liberal, VERY wealthy, and VERY powerful Speaker of the House was just violently attacked by a man who embodies everything that cultural, social, and political leftism seeks to transform our country into? Can we please admit that the monstrous society that leftism is creating is now turning quite literally on its own creators, instigators, and cheerleaders?
The mad scientists who now control the Democratic Party as the vehicle of radical leftism are almost in complete denial about what they have wrought. They cannot (and in many cases will not) defend their record of the last two years, but neither will they back down from it. This is why it is so incredibly important that we, the voters, completely bury the Democrats in every election. We need to put their Frankenstein’s monster out of its misery.
And trust me, folks…the operative word here is indeed misery. Our economy is in the worst shape it’s ever been in since the bad old days of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Our federal government is over $31 trillion in debt. Our country’s housing market is in total disarray. Inflation is the worst it has ever been in the last four decades. Prices for food, fuel, shelter, and energy are excruciatingly high. When you consider what President Biden has done with the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, our country is just about out of its supplies of oil and of diesel fuel. And most embarrassingly of all, too many Americans are out of work or simply won’t work. We still seem to be suffering from the self-induced supply-chain issues related to our governments’ responses to COVID-19. Shortages of many of the most basic consumer goods seem to be endlessly looming on our horizon.
What have the Democrats done to solve these economic problems? What do they propose to do in the future? They continue to prattle on about their insistence that the wealth of America needs to be spread around in a more “equitable” manner. They refuse to exercise fiscal discipline, and they move forward with giant spending schemes that will only make inflation worse. They openly wage rhetorical war against the oil industry, cutting back on leases for energy production and the construction of badly-needed pipelines. They shove false promises in our faces surrounding the dream of electric vehicles, about a new green economy that somehow is supposed to replace our reliance upon fossil fuels. At a time when investments in the oil and gas industries are needed most, the progressives just want to talk about the Green New Deal.
The Democrats aren’t afraid to lie about their failed experiment. They lie about the cause of high gas prices, blaming them exclusively on the war in Ukraine. They refuse to admit that gas prices were half of what they are now when Biden was first inaugurated. They insist that we, the American people, join them in their lies. We’re supposed to believe the lie that killing unborn babies is somehow a woman’s fundamental healthcare right. We’re supposed to believe the lie that gender is fluid and therefore meaningless. We’re supposed to go along with the delusions of the transgender movement, that men can be women, that women can be men, and that sexual mutilation and drag queen strip teases are things of beauty and authenticity. We’re supposed to believe the Democrats when some of them claim that the U.S. president has absolutely no power at all to forgive a half-trillion dollars in student-loan debt…and then we’re supposed to celebrate when a Democratic president turns around and does exactly that through an executive order that unconstitutionally bypasses the authority of Congress. And on top of all these lies, we are expected to accept the accompanying lie that all of this is somehow going to make our country a better place.
As for our country being a better place, do American voters feel safer and more secure with the Democrats in power? If you are appalled by the Speaker of the House’s husband being attacked by a lunatic thug, how do you think a lowly commuter on a New York subway feels about the state of law and order nowadays? What are the Democrats doing to keep us safe? What have they done for the past two years? In Democrat-run cities, defunding the police has become all the rage. Leftist prosecutors and mayors have encouraged the spread of violent crime as more no-bail laws have been passed in many major metropolitan areas. In border states, where Democratic candidates for office apparently can get away with refusing to debate their opponents in public, our national borders have been allowed to erode to near nonexistence. Illegal immigrants flood into our states, cities, and neighborhoods by the multiple millions year by year, and yet the Democrats fight tooth and nail against building a border wall at a time when it is needed the most. And as for keeping America safe on the international front, leftist Democrats have overseen the dismantlement of our navy at a time when China prepares to dominate the eastern Pacific, the gutting of our army as recruitment rates have plummeted, and the general mismanagement of our military as screwball Wokeness weaves itself into the cultures of our armed forces.
In one form or another, I have been beating the drum against the Democratic Party since I was about ten years old. I know how weird it is for anyone to say that, but I believe that part of my life’s mission is to raise my voice in warning against this political organization that’s been in the wrong and doing grave damage to our national interests, prosperity, and happiness since its establishment in the 1820s. I know how much other people hate partisanship like I am displaying here in this post, and I know how uncomfortable people get when they see me targeting Democrats for this kind of criticism. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: I am not seeking to besmirch people for merely being members of the Democratic Party. Rather, I am seeking to help all American voters of every political party to understand how sincere I am in my fervent belief that the Democratic Party is by far the more morally corrupt and dangerous of our country’s two major political parties. I urge you: don’t vote for the Democratic candidates, the Democratic policies, propositions, or platforms! Don’t support the failed experiment that is American leftism! Democrats who are horrified by what they see going on in their own party: abandon ship! Follow the example of Tulsi Gabbard and others! Deny the party of Biden its electoral momentum, and help turn our country back onto a course towards sanity and moral order, towards prosperity and national security.
I pray that more Americans than ever before may be ready to understand the things I’m trying to say in this post. My fingers are crossed that such will turn out to be true.
DeSantis For 2024
As to be expected, I've seen a number of posts about the midterm elections. A lot of these posts have focused on the sad and disappointing reality that the Democratic Party will not be receiving the stinging rebuke from the American people that it so rightly deserves considering what it has done to the United States over the last two years. Other posts have focused on another sad and disappointing reality: that despite all the great things he accomplished as president, Donald Trump has proven to be incapable of seeing beyond his own ego in order to do what's best for the Republican Party and the American nation moving forward in the near future.
For this post, however, I'd like to focus on the most important lesson that deserves to be learned from this latest midterm election. No matter what the leftist media establishment might be saying, a “red wave” of Republican victories did occur in certain areas of the country. Republicans in New York and Nevada deserve a standing ovation for what they almost accomplished. Governors like Kristi Noem, Brian Kemp, and Greg Abbott have shown us conservatives a path forward towards future victories, and I am personally happy to see that senators like Mike Lee and Rand Paul will be returning to office.
But none of these victories can even begin to compare with what has transpired in Florida because of Governor Ron DeSantis. Ron DeSantis is and rightfully ought to be the unrivaled political leader of the Republican Party and American conservatism generally in this our current historical moment. Ron DeSantis and the Florida Republicans have completely redrawn the electoral map in their state. DeSantis’ brand of leadership includes all of the positives we had under Trump, and none of the baggage. DeSantis has been my privately-preferred presidential candidate for 2024 for about eight or nine months now, but after this last election, with Florida truly experiencing a Republican tidal wave (pardon my potential insensitivity to you hurricane victims), I am openly and enthusiastically declaring that I want Ron DeSantis for president in 2024.
This last election has reinforced my belief that the American electorate, in general, is spiritually lost and in need of strong yet principled leadership, and that's why I also believe so strongly that we all should keep an appraising eye on Governor DeSantis. I think he offers the people of his state and hopefully the rest of the country what is needed most right now: a positive and substantive example of righteous leadership and good governance that towers above the wickedness and weakness of the Biden administration.
I believe Ron DeSantis is the best chance we have of showing the country and indeed the world how wonderful making America great again looks when compared with the national setback that the Biden years will inevitably be judged to have been.
The Biden Regime Abuses The Midterm Elections
I just think it's so important to point out that AFTER the midterm election was essentially over, someone in the FBI just happened to leak to the press that pretty much nothing very serious or unlawful on Trump's part was found or discovered as a result of the raid on Trump's home in Florida.
The raid on Mar-A-Lago...the illegal extension of student loan forgiveness...the draining of our national emergency reserve of petroleum...all of these things were dangerous and totally inappropriate stunts by the Biden regime to use federal police powers to intimidate and smear a political opponent, to buy the votes of young people who turned out at the polls in droves for the president's political party, and to artificially prop up a floundering economy ahead of an election.
Americans need to rebuke and reject the Democratic Party for these kinds of abuses of power.
The Biden Regime Turns To Tyranny
When the Biden administration raided Donald Trump's home at Mar-A-Lago earlier this year, Joe Biden denied having any warning or foreknowledge that the raid was going to happen.
Once again, when the Biden administration announced that it would be renewing its investigatory crusade against Donald Trump by appointing a special counsel to launch yet another series of official inquiries into Donald Trump's supposed connection to the January 6th riots, into whether or not Trump interfered with the peaceful transition of power to the Biden regime in early 2021, and into the alleged impropriety of the documents held at Mar-A-Lago, Joe Biden denied that he had any warning that these things would happen.
The incredulity that accompanies that narrative is mind-boggling to me.
In the special counsel announcement, Biden's chief enforcer Merrick Garland had the audacity to claim that the reason the Justice Department was launching these new investigations was DIRECTLY and EXPLICITY tied to the new reality that Donald Trump was running for president against Joe Biden in the 2024 election.
In other words, the Biden regime has no problem brazenly admitting to the public that it will respond to competing presidential campaigns by unleashing the federal government's police powers against opponents. The special counsel is a man named Jack Smith, a partisan operator who worked for the Obama administration as the Justice Department's head of "public integrity". He was serving in that role at the same time that Obama's IRS was using tax regulations to target and abuse conservative political action groups, and there is evidence suggesting that Smith was involved in that particular scandal.
Senator Ted Cruz has labeled this latest move on the part of the Biden administration as "Trump Derangement Syndrome with a badge and a gun", but I disagree. This is something worse. This is open tyranny and abuse of power in a supremely disturbing sense.
I know there are people who read posts like this and grow tired and weary of my cynicism and doom-and-gloom tone. I know there are some people who think that this is all to be expected, that this is what politicians do on both sides of the political aisle. Pardon me for saying this, but I think that is a poor excuse that obscures the larger picture of what is happening to our country's politics at the federal level.
I will be the first to agree that if Donald Trump wishes to be the leader of the Republican Party and the United States again, he somehow needs to find a way to move on from the ugliness of the past two to six years. I have my doubts that he will be able to accomplish that Herculean task, which is why I openly prefer Ron DeSantis to be the Republican candidate for 2024.
However...
None of us who care about freedom and the rule of law should forget the bigger picture of what has happened to Donald Trump and what is continuing to happen to him. He is being targeted by wicked and conspiring forces of tyranny and corruption within the ranks of our government and federal bureaucracy. And if it can happen to him, it can and will happen to others, to anyone who dares to challenge the ruling regime.
Here is the bigger picture I think we all need to keep in mind. Donald Trump became president in 2017 because he was a true political outsider who represented a threat to entrenched political and cultural leftism. His nationalist and populist agenda was not inherently right-wing from the start, but it became so because leftism in this country is increasingly divorced from reality, from truth itself; "America First" conservatism filled a void that many (admittedly, not all) Americans had been feeling with regards to their country for many years. In implementing his agenda, Trump was coarse but effective.
Unfortunately, too many Americans seem to prefer utter failures like Joe Biden as long as they do nothing more offensive than absent-mindedly licking at ice cream cones while wars are lost, economies are destroyed, taxpayers are robbed, and futures are wrecked. Despite its overwhelming legacy of failure during the last two years, the American left spends its energy targeting Donald Trump for utter obliteration. Trump was impeached...twice. His presidency was overshadowed by unending and uncorroborated allegations of election tampering and collusion with Russia...all of it completely unfounded. Trump's family was persecuted and investigated; on the other hand, Hunter Biden was shielded and protected by law enforcement and the media establishment. Trump continues to be investigated for alleged ties to a single riot on January 6th, 2021; on the other hand, the entire American left remains uninvestigated over the 120 days of rioting, looting, and burning that took place all over the country at the hands of Black Lives Matter and Antifa rabble-rousers and the "contextualization" offered by Democratic mayors, governors, and members of Congress.
Donald Trump is being targeted for throwing his post-2020 election tantrums, for being a sore loser who threatens democracy. The thing we all should remember is that the targeting is being done by the party led by a woman who literally shredded a State of the Union address on national television, by a senile old man who denounced the Trump presidency as illegitimate from the start. When you think about all of this, I think you might BEGIN to understand why Donald Trump obsesses over what has been done to him. He's only human, after all.
But the larger point I am trying to make here is that all of this goes far beyond partisan "politics as usual". The actions of the Biden regime are tyrannical and brazenly so. We've had governments act tyrannically before; that is unfortunately nothing new to American history or government in any country or society on any continent or in any time period of world history. But as we measure how comfortable, how unafraid, how unhesitating the tyrants are in imposing their will upon the rest of us, we should all take notice and reflect upon our collective need to reverse course before it is too late.
I sincerely wonder if we have passed the point of no return and if we are fated to take the tragically rough ride that I sense is in store for our nation. But regardless of whether or not it's too late, I am in earnest when I say that I want my voice to be on record that I didn't want any of this, that I didn't approve of what's happening to the rule of law, to the common sense we used to share as a people about what is obviously right and acceptable and what is obviously wrong and unacceptable.
When it comes to wrong and unacceptable, I frankly cannot fathom how a presidency survives a defeat like we saw happen in Afghanistan last year. Failure in Vietnam famously put an end to the Johnson presidency. Failure at a hotel called Watergate famously put an end to the Nixon administration. But this is a strange era in American politics...an era in which understandings of human life, human identity, and human destiny are more ferociously debated than I think a functioning society can be expected to handle. I'm not looking forward to the breakdown, and I charge the Biden regime with a large degree of culpability for that breakdown.
